As your patient advocate, we can:
- Organize: We sort and organize your bills and paperwork into a manageable system
- Review: We review whether or not your charges are correct.
- Determine: We determine whether or not to appeal or dispute any claims
- Negotiate: We are able to work on your behalf to negotiate overcharges and either lessen your bill or get you a refund.
During this process, we keep you informed at all times of the progress and outcome of our work on your behalf.
Some of the things we look for are common errors, such as:
- Typos, which can lead to errors such as charging for 11 pills instead of 1
- Unbundling, what this means is charging for something that is already included in your bill. This is duplicate billing.
- We look for overcharges such as:
- Charging $57.00 for a cough suppression devise -A Teddy Bear
- Oral administration fee – each time a nurse hands you a pill in a little white cup.
- A box of tissues, called a mucous recovery system, $11.00
Our initial consultation to you is free of charge . We review and analyze your case and paperwork to determine if we can be of service. If we find that there are errors, we then give you the opportunity to hire us to do a thorough analysis and we will work tirelessly to correct any error that have been made. These errors are most likely not in your favor.
We work on a contingency basis, collecting a percentage of the money we save our clients. We also offer a monthly service of management and auditing of your medical bills and explanation of benefits for your convenience and peace of mind making recommendations as to what actions should be taken, if any. This service is perfect for the patient with a chronic illness or ongoing medical bills.
